Government policies play a crucial role in creating the right conditions and incentives for companies, knowledge institutions, and other organizations to invest in research, development, and innovation. Changing circumstances and call for solutions: The new coalition agreement brings changes that may affect the innovation climate in the Netherlands. Although 'Hope, Courage and Pride' is a promising title, various innovation-enhancing measures are being scrapped. In light of these developments, we cannot rely solely on the government to maintain and strengthen the Netherlands' innovative character. Instead, we need the input and ideas of all stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem - businesses, knowledge institutions, governments, and civil society organizations.
